Ellington Launches The Meriva Collection on Island B of Dubai Islands
Ellington Properties has today officially launched The Meriva Collection, a large-scale beachfront project on Island B of Dubai Islands. This marks the first time Ellington has combined a project with its own hotel, indicating a new direction for the developer known for its design-driven approach. With starting prices from AED 2.8 million (approx. €700,000 / £600,000) and one-bedroom apartments from 77 m², the project positions itself in the premium segment of the market.
The launch is attracting significant interest. The project is currently in the EOI (Expression of Interest) phase, meaning interested parties must place a reservation to have a chance of securing a unit. Without a reservation, the chance of obtaining an apartment is virtually non-existent, given the high demand generated by the launch.
The Meriva Collection consists of six buildings of varying heights that together create a dynamic yet low-rise skyline. The tallest building has G+20 floors, followed by two buildings of G+10, two of G+6, and one low-rise building of G+2. In addition, there will be a five-star hotel operated by a renowned hotel operator. This combination of residential and hospitality is new for Ellington and is designed to ensure long-term activation of the community.
Direct Beachfront with Sea Views on Both Sides
What makes The Meriva Collection special is its location directly on the beach on Island B. Almost all apartments have sea views, and even the units at the rear overlook water. Therefore, there are virtually no poor orientations in this project. The best units are located on the higher floors with panoramic views over both the beach and the sea on the other side.
The offering consists of one to four-bedroom apartments and penthouses, many with study areas and uninterrupted sea views. Additionally, there is a limited collection of three to five-bedroom signature beachfront residences with private swimming pools, a rooftop gym, and direct beach access. The one-bedroom apartments start from 77 m², which is spacious for this category and typical of Ellington's approach where quality takes precedence over quantity.
Joseph Thomas, Co-Founder of Ellington Properties, emphasises that the real estate market is maturing and that developments today must go beyond just residential. Developments now function as destinations in themselves. The Meriva Collection reflects design thinking, discipline, and hospitality to create places that remain relevant long after the launch, while staying closely connected to their natural and urban environment.
Ellington Builds on Success of Previous Dubai Islands Projects
Ellington has already proven it understands Dubai Islands. The developer completed Ellington Sands as the first beach development on Island B of Dubai Islands. The sale of all unit types was accelerated by high demand. That success formed the basis for both Ellington Sands 2 and now The Meriva Collection.
The architecture of The Meriva Collection encourages a fluid relationship between indoor and outdoor living. Landscaped promenades, shaded walkways, and pedestrian-friendly planning form the masterplan, supported by integrated retail, F&B, and leisure spaces. This aligns with Ellington's philosophy of creating communities where people genuinely want to spend time, not just live.
Dubai Islands, formerly known as Deira Islands, is an archipelago of five islands with a total area of 17 square kilometres. The area is being developed by Nakheel and is set to become one of Dubai's premier waterfront destinations. With over 20 kilometres of beaches, its own marina, a championship-level golf course, and numerous hotels and resorts, it is one of the last major beachfront locations still available in Dubai.
The accessibility of Dubai Islands is excellent. Via the Infinity Bridge, you have direct access to the mainland. Dubai International Airport is approximately a 10-minute drive away, and Downtown Dubai can be reached in under 20 minutes. The RTA is also investing USD 1.4 billion in the Al Shindagha Corridor Project to further improve connectivity.
Ellington is known for its quality, designs, and attention to detail. Kitchens are fully equipped with German appliances, all apartments feature smart home technology, and ceilings are 3.6 metres high. The finishing levels are premium, fitting the reputation Ellington has built since its founding in 2014.
For those interested in The Meriva Collection, swift action is advised. The EOI phase means you must reserve now to be able to select a unit later. Given the high demand at launch and Ellington's track record on Dubai Islands, the expectation is that this project will sell out quickly.
